At the Boom Boom Room, we're always looking for talented and passionate performers to join our vibrant community. If you’re interested in showcasing your skills in a fun, supportive environment, we want to hear from you! Below are the five types of performers we seek:
1. Burlesque Dancers
We’re searching for captivating burlesque dancers who can bring charm, creativity, and flair to the stage. Ideal candidates should have a background in dance, performance art, or theatrical expression. Confidence and stage presence are essential as you engage and entertain our audience with alluring routines.
2. Aerial Performers
If you can dazzle us with aerial silks, hoops, or other apparatus, we want you! Aerial performers should have strong acrobatic skills, body awareness, and a creative approach to storytelling through movement. Safety and proper technique are paramount.
3. Specialty Acts
We love unique and diverse acts that add variety to our shows! Specialty performers may include magicians, fire breathers, musicians, or comedians. If you have a special talent that can entertain and engage our audience, we encourage you to apply.
4. MCs and Hosts
Our MCs and hosts are the heartbeat of the show, guiding the audience through the evening with charisma and charm. They introduce performers, engage with the crowd, and maintain the energy throughout the event. Strong improvisational skills and a magnetic personality are crucial for this role.
5. Stage Kittens
Stage Kittens are part stage manager and part performer, ensuring that our shows run smoothly while adding their unique flair. They coordinate with the lighting and sound teams to make sure the show starts on time and pick up costumes and props left on stage, affectionately referred to as "burlesque droppings." Stage Kittens also set up props and create a lively atmosphere by engaging the audience, encouraging them to meow and whistle as they walk across the stage. Their role is essential in maintaining the energy of the show and enhancing the overall experience for both the audience and the performers. A good sense of teamwork and a passion for the art of burlesque are vital.
6. Anything Else We Haven't Thought Of

7. Male Revue Performers

We are excited to announce that we are looking for strong, attractive men to join our new Male Revue! If you work out and take pride in your physique, we want you to be part of this exciting venture.
While dance experience is not required, you should be comfortable performing simple choreographed dances. This is your chance to shine as our very own in-house “Chippendales.”

We are seeking dancers, specialty performers, and guest performers to join our critically acclaimed cast! Do we hire men? sometimes.

REQUIREMENTS
Must be available weekends, Sunday Brunch
All Tuesday rehearsals are mandatory
21+ ONLY
Must be able to retain choreography within a quick time period; the sooner you can learn choreography, the faster you can hit the stage
Must be willing to grow as a performer; being able to take constructive criticism is a must, we will be teaching, coaching, making changes. We are the director, producer, and client. We will be kind but you will be getting feed back it is important you are OK with that, if not, this is not the place.
Must be able to dance in heels (2.5 inches or higher)
Dance experience preferred but not required
If applicable, please bring in dance resumes and headshots on the day of auditions.
